Rising MPHS Freshmen
Due to these crazy times, MP's Student Government realizes that many new students are missing out on valuable opportunities to learn about Myers Park. As such, SGA has created a brand-new podcast series titled “The Park Podcast.” On each episode, we will detail important information about classes, curriculum, clubs, activities, sports, etc. The primary target market for our podcast is rising 9th graders, but the information is beneficial for all. With the class of 2024 finishing up their last year in middle school, we thought it was important to adequately prepare them for their future at MP. You can access the podcast on both YouTube and Spotify, and stay up-to-date with episodes and postings by following SGA on Instagram (@mphs_sga). The first two episodes (#1: MPHS FAQs; #2: IB vs AP vs CPCC) are already posted.

Mrs. Padrick is planning to start calling all students who will attend South Meck next year very soon to make sure they get registered into the classes they would like. Sending your child’s card will greatly help and may alleviate some of the calls. You are welcome to email her with questions you have about next year/registration or if you need her to talk by phone). I am looking into finding access to all 8th grade student’s school email addresses so that I can email this information to all students, as well. If I cannot easily gather all student emails, I am confident I can send a message to display when they log on to their Chromebooks. Please reach out to Rachel Padrick at South Meck and send her your child’s registration cards. (If you need anything regarding the registration process, there is a whole page on their school website devoted to rising 9th registration:
